I do not believe the Windows 10 media creation tool is meant to be used to deploy volume licensed seats of Windows 10. Technically you must use the in-place upgrade to move from Windows 7/8.1 to Windows 10. What Windows OS did the device have on it before you upgraded to Windows 10? The Media Creation Tool should upgrade you to the version you're entitled to - meaning if you have Windows 8.1 Home you will be upgraded to Windows 10 Home, or if you have Windows 8.1 Pro - you're eligible for Windows 10 Pro. Did I miss something? Also, it shows that it was activated already and I never had to enter a license key. We have licenses for Windows 7 & 8 pro on our VLSC account, not enterprise edition, so I thought this would work. I chose Windows 10 from the drop down on the page. The problem is that it installed Windows 10 Home for some reason. I followed the instructions here Opens a new window and let it load on a new computer with wonodows 8. Anyone else try the Windows 10 media creation tool? It worked pretty seemlessly.
